THE REPORTED SUBMISSION

On 8 September, Sportschau reported that FairSquare had submitted a new complaint to FIFA’s Ethics Committee. The broadcaster says it has seen the document.

The Guardian dates submission to 8 September.

In a statement dated 9 September 2026, FairSquare says its Reboot campaign submitted an updated complaint. InFIFAntiNo has now reviewed the eight-page complaint published by FairSquare, dated 7 September 2026.

FAIRSQUARE’S ALLEGATIONS

Sportschau describes allegations of breaches of political neutrality in Infantino’s dealings with Donald Trump and misuse of presidential powers. The complaint also challenges his conduct concerning the Balogun red-card case and the withdrawn FIFA Forward Enterprise proposal. These are FairSquare’s allegations, not findings of wrongdoing.

EARLIER RESPONSES

Sportschau recalls Infantino’s earlier insistence that the disciplinary committee was independent. FIFA’s statement of 8 August rejected unsubstantiated allegations and defended its democratic mandate. That statement is an earlier position, not an Ethics Committee decision on this complaint.

WHAT REMAINS UNVERIFIED

InFIFAntiNo has not independently verified receipt of the updated complaint. The sources reviewed establish neither an opened investigation nor a decision. According to FairSquare, the Ethics Committee acknowledged receipt of its 8 December 2025 complaint on 12 December 2025; that acknowledgement concerns the earlier complaint, not the September update. The allegations remain the complainant’s claims, not findings. The article’s event date records the 8 September reporting, not an independently verified filing time.
