What FIFA said
After a leadership meeting in Rabat, FIFA said mistakes had been made, apologised to the Council and member associations, and promised that a review would be presented to the Council.
The same statement said FIFA’s management board reaffirmed full support for Infantino. Both parts are necessary to represent FIFA’s position fairly.
What remains open
The acknowledgement addressed the process, but the published statement did not itself establish new permanent consultation, disclosure or oversight rules.
